Here’s To You, The Red, White & Blue
Have you started adding spring and summer colors to your home like we suggested last week? I've recently added more colors to my home besides the gray and purple tones, and I told Rachel how much happiness it's brought me. Changing things up and adding color can truly inspire you and change your mood!
Not only do spring and summer inspire bright colors, but with Memorial Day around the corner, it's time to start adding in red, white, and blue. This color pallet can take you all the way through to the 4th of July (or even Labor Day if you aren't itching for a change by then.)
Are you ready to pull out the patriotic favorites, but need a little inspiration? Look no further. Today we're sharing our favorite places to start to bring your seasonal decor to life.
First, look to the places that are easy to decorate seasonally. Think mantles, bookcases, a little happy accent on an end table, or a beautiful tablescape for your dining table. This is the time to bring in a few happy little accents that will lift the spirits of everyone who enters your home.
Seasonal florals will always make your decor pop. When I think of summer decor, geraniums always come to mind. We have the most real looking geraniums you're going to find! Perhaps you'd like to leave out your blue & white hydrangeas and incorporate some red & white tulips to bring summer to your florals.
Finally, one of our favorite spots to decorate is the dining table. This is the perfect season to set the table with festive melamine plates and patriotic table linens. We like to keep things simple and casual for the summer months.
As you start to bring out your summer decor, we hope this week's post has given you a little dose of inspiration. A HUGE thank you to our friends Rhonda & Kelley for sharing pictures of their homes with us this week. We always love seeing how you use your treasures at home.
Stop by and show us what you've been up to in your home!
Until next time,
Rachel & Joy
